Highlights of Professional Experience

  • Solar Cooking and Video Training Project
From concept, to proposal development, program design, capacity building in Nigeria, online community development and support, and follow up via information and communication technologies.
  • Rural African Telecentre Support
Lived in a rural African town for one month, "rubbing minds" with community members and telecentre staff about how computer-based technologies could enhance their community development goals. The result was the Solar Cooking and Video Training Project.
  • Online Trading Systems Development
Developed high-tech mutual funds, options, and bond trading systems for international financial institutions in Canada and Europe.
  • Expert Business and Systems Analysis
For US, Canadian, and global clients, created clear project proposals, budgets, business and functional systems specifications that were praised by senior managers as the most effective documents they had ever read. My documentation standards were adopted by a major Canadian bank as their new standards, and were still in use when I returned to the bank years later.
