fluidIT solutions' founder and senior consultant is Carole St. Laurent. Carole brings over twenty years of experience designing and delivering complex IT solutions to her work. Her achievements include:
- Launching TD Canada Trust's first online mutual fund trading site, WebFunds, and their award-winning online application form
- Tripling the website traffic of a $1 billion US firm within three months by launching an online newsletter
- Programming numerous custom equities trading systems for clients in Canada, Belgium, Netherlands, and Italy
Carole's full range of experience, from programming to project management, ensures her projects' success. But her dedication to deeply understanding clients' needs, and then exceeding their expectations, may be what leaves the biggest impression.
In addition to delivering corporate IT solutions, Carole's passion for international development has led her to extend her work overseas. It began with a life-changing trip to Kenya in 1992, where she experienced firsthand The Sharing Way's work in training, agriculture, and refugee camps. Carole earned a Master's degree in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) for Development in 2005, has implemented a multimedia capacity building project in Nigeria, consulted on world-class remittance software for UNDP, and facilitated the first hands-on ICT course at the renowned Coady International Institute.
